JIWOO, BASECAMP & COLDE BRING THE "BLUEPRINT TOUR" TO TORONTO AT HISTORY
BY BRENESSA ROACH | AUGUST 27, 2024
The show started at 8 PM with Toronto based Korean-Canadian artist Jiwoo taking the stage and performing one of his hit songs “Lustre”. He also performed fan favourite songs such as; “Greed”, “Comme des Garçons” and “In the Blur of the Rain”. We are debut fans of Jiwoo and it was amazing to finally see him perform live. His stage presence is excellent and we really enjoyed his set.

Colde took the stage around 8:30 PM, kicking off with a performance of his new song “Toxic Love.” His performance was captivating, as he engaged the crowd by moving across the stage, making sure every section felt included. He also treated the audience to new tracks like “I Color You” and “Nirvana Blues” from his mini EP YIN, released on August 1st ahead of the tour. He even shared that “Nirvana Blues” was inspired by his favorite band, Nirvana.
Colde also performed older fan favorites like “Lighter,” “I Fxxking Love You,” “Sunflower,” and our personal favorite, “WA-R-R.” For the encore, he returned to the stage to perform “Star,” which is an original soundtrack for the Korean drama See You in My 19th Life, and “Dance,” a song from his side project offonoff. He closed the night by dancing around the stage, singing along to Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
During Colde’s outfit changes, basecamp performed a few of their songs and served as the band throughout his set. Seeing basecamp live was a highlight for us, as we’ve been fans for a while.
Overall, the concert was incredible. Colde’s powerful vocals mesmerized the crowd, and his energy was infectious. Every song from his discography was just as impressive live as in his studio recordings. We hope Colde, Jiwoo, and basecamp return to Toronto next year.
