6 HISPANIC ARTISTS YOU NEED ON YOUR PLAYLISTS

In this article, we share 6 Hispanic artists that we absolutely love. All these artists vary in genres and also monthly listeners, but we hope you find yourself adding these songs to your playlists!
YOSHI is a singer-songwriter in the R&B/Hip-Hop genre who currently has around 102K monthly listeners on Spotify. He made his debut to digital streaming platforms on November 3rd, 2020 with the release of his debut single “Clara”. This song was a collaboration with Absa G and Nsqk and also has over 1.1 million streams on Spotify. On November 6th, 2020, he released an EP titled Demos y Feelings. This EP consists of 3 songs; “2C”, “Se Me Olvida” with Jesse Baez and “El Phone” with Big Soto. “Se Me Olvida” is YOSHI’s most popular song with over 2.8 million streams on Spotify.
YOSHI’s second most popular song is another collaboration with Jesse Baez titled “Días Malos, Nochebuena” which has over 1.7 million streams. This song was released on December 25th, 2020. On October 28th, 2022, YOSHI released the single “Todo” which is our favourite song and also how we discovered him as it’s featured in Spotify’s curated playlist “Latin R&B”.
So far for 2023, YOSHI has released quite a few singles such as; “HEAVY WOK” on February 3rd, “JOLIGUD” with Jesse Baez on March 31st and “When Do I Not?” on April 20th. His latest single “CARTIER” is from May 5th and it’s a collaboration with Milkman and Zizzy.

Lucy Calcines is a Cuban-Spanish singer and songwriter with around 6.5K monthly listeners on Spotify. Her genre is a mix of Latin and K-Pop structures and concepts. She started posting covers to her YouTube channel around 5 years ago. She made her debut to digital streaming platforms on January 26th, 2019 with the single “Ain’t Got Time”. In 2020, she auditioned for The Voice UK which resulted in all 4 coaches; Meghan Trainor, Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and will.i.am turning their chairs. She also was a semi-finalist.
Her most popular song of 219K Spotify streams “Lipgloss” was released on March 4th, 2022. This song charted at number 16 on the Spanish iTunes Charts and garnered over 550K streams across all platforms.
On January 6th of this year, she collaborated with an artist named Ken to make an electronic-house cover of “As It Was” by Harry Styles. This cover got over 260K streams on Spotify. Additionally on February 3rd, she released the single “Alas”, which is how we discovered her. Her latest single “POP” is from April 7th.

Juanpalitoschinos is a duo from Mexico City compromised of Friné Alejo and Joan Page. The duo has around 130K monthly listeners and their music is heavily inspired by 1980s Japanese City Pop and Latin Indie music. They made their debut to digital streaming platforms on February 2nd, 2020 with their debut single “Bellavista 130”. On October 22nd, 2020, they released the single “Lo que tú me das” which is their most popular song of 8.4 million streams.
On December 5th, 2022, they released the single “Una Vez Más” which is how we discovered them. For 2023, they released the single “Me Hago Mal” on April 12th, 2023 which is currently featured in Spotify’s curated playlists; “indie fresco” and “Rocanlovers”. Their latest release is from May 17th with the single “¿Por qué no contestas?” which is a collaboration with the artist Gusstav.

One Path is a singer with around 59K monthly listeners on Spotify. He debuted on January 1st, 2016 with his 18 song debut album Mi Viejo Choso. Until 2017, he kept on releasing full length albums and EP’s. On February 27th, 2017, he released the album Milagro which includes his second most popular song “Muertito de la Pena” which has over 2.1 million streams.
On May 18th, 2017, he released the album Guinda which includes his most popular song “Guinda”. This song has over 5.7 million streams on Spotify.
Throughout the last 6 years, One Path has released many singles, albums and EP’s. His latest single “Tratas de Volver (One Path Remix)” is from May 19th of this year.

Okaa is a Venezuelan singer, songwriter, composer and producer with around 10.5K monthly listeners. He debuted on April 25th, 2019 with the single “Tiene Arena (Remix)”. On September 5th, 2019, he released the single “Yo No Tengo Na” which is his most popular song of 384K streams.
Another one of his popular songs is “Desnudate” which was released on October 8th, 2020. This song is a collaboration with Chune and also is the song that we discovered him by as it is featured in Spotify’s curated playlist “Chill Latino”.
His latest single “Proceso (Vibes Version)” from May 18th of this year is a collaboration with Angel Bernal.

Noreh is a singer who has over 1.1 million listeners on Spotify, but he still deserves even more. He made his debut to digital streaming platforms on February 23rd, 2018 with the single “Fotografia”. Followed by that single, he released his debut EP XOXO on March 23rd, 2018.
On June 12th, 2020, he released the single “Visa” which is one of his most popular songs with over 2 million Spotify streams. This is also our favourite song of his. On October 23rd, 2020, he released his first album Asocial.
On August 19th, 2022, Noreh did a collaboration with Jay Wheeler for the song “Lugar Seguro”. This song is the 18th track on Jay Wheeler’s album Emociones. This song also is technically Noreh’s most popular song as it has over 26.7 million streams.
