ADYA DEBUTS WITH SINGLE “PER” | COMEBACK CORNER

Starting House Entertainment’s newest girl group ADYA (에이디야; formerly known as Starting Girls) debuted today (May 9th, 2023) with their debut single “Per”. The South Korean girl group consists of 5 members; Yeonsu (20 years old), Seowon (19 years old), Sena (17 years old), Seungchae (17 years old) and Chaaeun (15 years old). ADYA is a combination of the word “adventure” and the Spanish word “ya” which means now.
ADYA has a very youthful, peppy, early 2000 sound which is very popular amongst 4th generation girl groups like; NewJeans and LE SSERAFIM.
With their debut single “Per”, it represents them embarking on this new adventure as a girl group who choreograph their own dance routines. “Per” is short form for “perfect” which we think is what ADYA wants to go for as a girl group (being a perfect, confident group). This song is filled with a light drum beat, an amazing 808 bass which makes this song have a trap/hip-hop style and the melodies are super catchy.
The accompanying music video already sits at over 14k views. The music video aesthetic is very soft but colourful and has a very retro/early 2000 aesthetic to it. Additionally, the choreography is really fun.
Overall, we think ADYA has so much potential to grow this year and in the future as a girl group. They really have a unique vibe and each member brings a unique personality to make the group complete as a whole.
We really love this debut and cannot wait to support ADYA on their musical journey.
