ARTISTS THAT DESERVE MORE LISTENERS

In this article, we will share 6 artists that have over 100K monthly listeners on Spotify, but definitely deserve more. Some of these artists we have been listening to for years and some we just discovered. All of these artists fall under different genres and all have different and unique sounds/styles.
Let’s get started…
I’MIN is an R&B/Pop Korean-American singer-songwriter from New York City. He currently has around 185K monthly listeners on Spotify. He debuted on January 5th, 2021 with the single “Love Default” which was in collaboration with Daryl Kim and Baeksik. Followed by his debut, he released “Not In The Mood” with Daryl Kim and “Lost and Found” in February 2021 and “Manhattan Haze” with Daryl Kim in March 2021.
He released his debut EP NITM on April 5th, 2021. This EP was in collaboration with Daryl Kim – who he often works with. Their song “REPLAY” currently has over 1.6 million streams on Spotify and is I’MIN’s third most popular song.
In October 2021, I’MIN released the song “That Kind Of Love” which is his most popular song with over 3 million streams. This is the song that got us into his music because it’s a common song used amongst a lot of lifestyle vloggers on YouTube. His second most popular song is “Mirage” which was released one year later in September 2022. It currently has 2.5 million streams.
I’MIN has released quite a few singles throughout 2023, but our favourite releases so far have been “Infatuation” in October and his latest release “Fallen City” which came out on December 15th. We cannot wait to hear what I’MIN will release in 2024 and we hope to see him live one day.

Renao (pronounced ren-now) is a South Asian pop singer born in Bangalore, India and currently based in London, UK. He currently has a little over 200K monthly listeners on Spotify. He made his debut on December 3rd, 2021 with the single “Nobody”. This is our favourite song and also his most popular song with over 12.3 million streams on Spotify alone.
Following his debut, he released the singles “Struck Gold” and “Holding My Breath” in March 2022. All three of these singles were pre-release tracks for his debut EP From the South which came out on April 22nd, 2022. He also released the single “Moonwalking” in August 2022.
He started off 2023 with the release of “BREAK IT DOWN” on February 22nd followed by “LIFELINE” in March and “BLIND” in April. These three singles were pre-release tracks for his second EP DAY OFF which came out on May 17th.
On June 2nd, he released his first album A SPACE BETWEEN ORANGE & BLUE which included 9 tracks. One of our favourite songs by Renao is “JASMINE” which came out on October 4th. We discovered him through a TikTok that was sent to us. His latest release is from November 17th for the song “PRESSURE”. Cannot wait to see what 2024 holds for Renao and hopefully he gains even more listeners.

Kodoku is a pop singer-songwriter and TikTok content creator from North Carolina, United States. He currently has over 231K monthly listeners on Spotify. He debuted on February 14th, 2021 with the single “LOVE IN U” which has over 1.2 million streams on Spotify. He released a few singles after is debut, but really rose to fame after the release of the single “Hennessy” on August 17th, 2021. This song has garnered over 6.6 million streams on Spotify alone.
Followed by the release of “Hennessy”, he released “Rose Bath” on October 7th, 2021. This is his most popular song with over 8.3 million streams. In 2022, Kodoku released three songs; “So Fine” in February, “Found Eachother” in July and “DOWN TO RIDE” in September. We started listening to Kodoku in April of this year after discovering “DOWN TO RIDE” through Spotify. Since then, we have become fans of him.
In June 2023, he released the song “Chapstick” which is one of our favourite songs by Kodoku. His latest release “Insomnia” from December 1st is another one of our favourites. On December 14th, Kodoku performed in Puerto Rico for a K-Night called “Kristmas Evl” hosted by N2O4 Entertainment. We hope that in 2024, Kodoku can perform more and we get to see him!

Zac Greer is an Alternative Indie/Pop singer, songwriter and producer based in Arizona, United States. He has around 115K monthly listeners on Spotify currently. He made his debut on July 17th, 2019 with the single “glitter” which currently has over 4.5 million streams on Spotify.
Followed by his debut, he released the single “crazy” on August 6th, 2020. This single garnered over 11 million streams. It also was a pre-release track for his debut EP headaches which came out on August 27th, 2020.
In April 2021, he released the singles “melatonin” which is another popular song of his with over 7 million streams followed by “onetwo” in September. Both those songs were pre-release tracks for his second EP when things were fine which came out on October 15th, 2021. In 2022, he only released two singles; “i wish i never met you” in October and “movie magic” in November.
He started off 2023 with the release of “buttons” on March 29th followed by ”dontletmego” in May and “alive” in August. All three of these songs were pre-release tracks for his debut album for the hell of it which is his latest release from December 1st. “alive” was the first song we listened to after it was announced that Zac Greer would be joining MICO on his North American tour for a few dates. Although we didn’t get to see Zac perform, we really enjoy his music and actually “buttons” is one of our favourite songs after “alive”.

Amie Blu is an alternative R&B/Neo-Soul singer and songwriter based in South London. She currently has 141K monthly listeners on Spotify. She debuted on April 29th, 2022 with her debut EP 5 for U. This EP consists of 5 songs including her most popular song “Are We Alright?” which has just a little over 1 million streams on Spotify.
She started off 2023 with the release of “powder” in February. This was a pre-release track for her second EP crumbs in my bed which came out on July 28th. We discovered Amie through the song “oh no” which is track 2 on this EP and also our favourite song from the EP.

Nicholas Yung Kit, also known by his artist name NYK is a Malaysian R&B singer, songwriter and musician. He currently has around 136K monthly listeners on Spotify and is signed to Sony Music Malaysia. He debuted on August 4th, 2017 with the single “FWB” which currently has over 1.8 million streams on Spotify. Followed by that single, he collaborated with Airliftz on the song “Make It On Me” which came out on March 9th, 2018.
Both those singles were pre-release tracks for his debut EP UNLOVABLE which came out on August 24th, 2018. This is the EP that made us discover him because of the song “faded”. That is one of his popular songs with over 2.3 million streams and it is also our favourite. We used to play that song over and over back in 2018 and when we listen to it now, we remember when it first came out.
On August 2nd, 2019, NYK collaborated with JAIE for the song “Daylight” which is his most popular song with over 5.6 million streams on Spotify alone. He released a few singles after “Daylight” and released his second EP SALT on October 30th, 2020.
Another one of our favourite songs by NYK is titled “i wanna be with you” and it released in August 2022. This song currently has a little over 375K streams on Spotify.
In 2023, NYK released three singles; “Exist/Exit” on August 25th, “Summer Girl” on September 22nd and “4life” on November 10th.
