We are always on the hunt for new artists and there are so many hidden gems that we find. In this article, we will be sharing 6 artists we recently discovered and fell in love with their sound.

Toji ON ARTISTS WE RECENTLY DISCOVERED & LOVE

Toji is an independent artist originally from Vietnam, but currently based in Germany. His music is a blend of R&B, hip-hop and pop – all genres that influenced him growing up. He currently has 3.6K monthly listeners on Spotify. He started releasing music when he was 18 years old. He debuted on January 3rd, 2020 with his debut album Soultouching, Vol. 2. This is an 11 track album and includes one of his most popular songs “Breaking Bad” – which has 139K streams on Spotify.

Toji released a few singles after the release of his album. On June 17th, 2021, he did a collaboration with Keydom for the song “TOXIC”, which was the song that got us listening to Toji. Additionally, “TOXIC” was a pre-release track for his second album BACKYARD BENCHES which came out on June 29th, 2021. This album consists of 12 songs and includes his most popular song “THIRSTY” which has over 220K streams.

In 2023, Toji released his third album LOST CHAPTER on January 13th. In April, Toji started releasing R&B music in German, starting with his first release “Bereit Für Liebe” on April 28th. This is our favourite song from Toji’s discography so far. Another one of our favourites is “FALINE” which was released on June 9th and was in collaboration with L’3ternel. Toji’s latest release is from June 23rd and it’s a single titled “Forever And A Day”.

H33RA ON ARTISTS WE RECENTLY DISCOVERED & LOVE

H33RA is an independent R&B artist from UK with around 52K monthly listeners on Spotify. He debuted on January 15th, 2021 with the single “I DON’T MIND”. On February 12th, 2021, he released the single “INTIMATE” which is one of his most popular songs with over 260K streams on Spotify. Both these songs were pre-release tracks for his debut EP VIRGO which came out on April 9th.

H33RA’s most popular song “My Baby” was released on June 18th, 2021. It currently has over 666K streams on Spotify. In July 2021, H33RA released his second EP titled VIRGO II. His third EP Sinners released on June 3rd, 2022.

His first release of 2023 was for the song “Pretty Brown Eyes (Oh My)” which came out on February 17th. His latest release is “Heartbeat” which released on May 26th. Additionally, he has a new song titled “Make Your Move” coming out on July 28th, so make sure to pre-save.

berryblue ON ARTISTS WE RECENTLY DISCOVERED & LOVE

berryblue who goes by the name of Blue, is a singer, songwriter and pianist from Dallas, Texas. She currently has 27.1K monthly listeners on Spotify. She also self-produces her music and is the creator of Poorblue. She debuted on September 16th, 2022 with the single “COOKIE HOE”. “COOKIE HOE” is her second most popular song with over 6.8K streams on Spotify. In 2022, she also released the singles “VIRUS” on October 28th and “POISON” on November 28th. “POISON” is a collaboration with Bowen Thi.

Her first release of 2023 is also her latest release which is her debut EP GOT ME LIKE. This EP consists of 6 songs and includes her most popular song “FEELING LUCKY” which has over 31.8K streams. She has a new song titled “Selfish” coming out on August 11th, so make sure to pre-save.

The Penninsula ON ARTISTS WE RECENTLY DISCOVERED & LOVE

The Penninsula is a Southeast Asian alternative pop band consisting of Arya Genta, Dave Julius, Karyuto and Rafi Yudhistira. They currently have 3.1K monthly listeners n Spotify and are signed to Dream Big Records. They debuted on November 7th, 2020 with the single “She’s a Good Girl (Na Na Na)” followed by “Hello” on December 26th.

On May 22nd, 2021, they released the single “It’s Okay to Cry” – which is their most popular song with 41.2K streams. In 2022, they released an acoustic version of “Hello” and a new single titled “Those Nights” on October 21st.

Their latest release and first release of 2023 is a three single EP titled A Glimpse of Irremediable Pages. This EP consisting of three songs; “Driving Home”, “Those Nights” and “Good Time”.

beenmind ON ARTISTS WE RECENTLY DISCOVERED & LOVE

beenmind is an independent R&B and pop singer and songwriter from Jakarta, Indonesia. He debuted on August 18th, 2022 with the EP Quietwound. This EP includes 3 songs; “runaway!”, “died in my sleep.”, and “you_u”. “died in my sleep.” is currently his most popular song with 2.7K streams. On January 13th, 2023, he released the single “not letting you in” followed by “LET ME DROWN.” on February 10th. His latest release is from May 5th and it’s titled “Blued”.

Adriel ON ARTISTS WE RECENTLY DISCOVERED & LOVE

Adriel is a Malaysian singer with 55K monthly listeners on Spotify. He debuted on March 9th, 2021 with the single “One For You”. He released a few more singles and released “life is not boring” on August 12th, 2022. This is his most popular song with 123.3K streams. This song was also the pre-release track for his debut EP get well soon. which came out on November 18th, 2022.

For 2023, he released his first single “coincidental tragedy” on January 13th, followed by “rocketship” on February 10th. “rocketship” is a collaboration with yuji and is our favourite song. His latest release “potential for love” with Apriltwentyfifth is from July 7th.
