In this article, we will share 4 Australian artists in various genres that have below 100K monthly listeners on Spotify. We got a suggestion recently to do a blog post about more Australian artists and so this was really fun to search for some. We hope you end up liking, one or all of the artists mentioned.

daine is a Filipino-Australian artist hailing from Melbourne and signed to Warner Music Australia. She blends contemporary hip-hop with R&B and her vocals are very sweet yet edgy. She made her debut to digital streaming platforms on May 15th, 2020 with the single “Picking Flowers”. Followed by that, she released “My Way Out” in July and the triple single EP Ascension / Angel Numbers in November which included the singles “Ascension”, “4444” and “Angel Numbers”.
On April 15th, 2021, she released the single “boys wanna txt” featuring ericdoa. This is her second most popular song with over 1.6 million streams on Spotify. Her most popular hit is “SALT” featuring Oli Sykes. This song has gained over 2.2 million streams since its release on August 26th, 2021.
daine released her debut album Quantum Jumping on April 28th, 2022. Ending the 2022 year off with another hit single “boythots” which has over 1.1 million Spotify streams.
For 2023, daine released the single “writhe” in February as a pre-release track for her first EP shapeless which came out on February 24th. Her latest single is from September 7th and it’s titled “BITE BACK”.

saranghae is a Hyper-Pop/Indie artist from Sydney, Australia. His music is also a blend of Korean R&B and K-pop. He is currently under the “Expressions” subsidiary “Zephyr Cove”. saranghae made his debut on August 2nd, 2021 with the single “time is real” which was in collaboration with mis4ortune. His most popular song with over 8.5K streams on Spotify is “hate me haha – juice wrld remix lmao” which came out on August 24th, 2021.
He posted a lot of singles throughout 2022 and released his debut album departure on June 16th. His most popular song on this album with over 2K streams is “blueberry” with Noya Clarissa.
On October 13th, 2022, saranghae released the song “the prom queen” which was in collaboration with luvlxckdown. This is one of his popular songs with over 6K streams on Spotify.
saranghae started 2023 off with a collaboration with riensu for the single “TakeA2nd” which came out on January 5th. He also released his first EP cozyland on June 30th. Followed by his EP, he released the single “i just want you!” on September 1st. This is his latest single and features max ruben.

Jewel Owusu is a half Filipino and half Ghanaian artist and producer originally from Hong Kong, raised in New Zealand and Perth, and now based in Melbourne. Her music is a blend of R&B, alt-pop, dance and hip-hop creating a really unique sound. She debuted on February 27th, 2021 with her debut EP mantra. On November 26th, 2021, she released the single “Mixed Signals” with Jarrod Jeremiah. This is her second most popular song with over 22.7K streams on Spotify.
On May 13th, 2022, she released the single “American Honey” which is another one of her popular songs with 22.3K Spotify streams. She ended the 2022 year off with the single “All On You” which is in collaboration with Adrian Dzvuke and CHISEKO. This is also her most popular song with a little over 92.4K Spotify streams.
Her first release of 2023 was in April with “my mind” with Ella Gilbert and “ethan”. “ethan” is how we discovered her and we love this song. Her latest release “bday” and “hurts” with Sophie DeMasi is from August 23rd.

JesseMelancholy is an Indie-Pop/Hyper-Pop artist from Adelaide. He made his debut on December 17th, 2022 with the single “Karma”. His first release of 2023 was in February for the song “Wake Me Up”. Followed by that single, he released “Narcissist” which is his third most popular song with 5.6K streams on Spotify.
His most popular single is “Amends” which came out on June 2nd. The single currently has over 7.1K Spotify streams. Our favourite song of JesseMelancholy’s is the single “Falling” with lyrah which came out on July 14th. His latest single from September 1st is “Yarramie”.
