Today at midnight EST, Philadelphia based Chinese-American artist Evan Liu, known by his artist name bxbykuni releases his first single of 2023 titled “Real Bad”. From January to June 2023, he has been busy with college while experimenting with his brand and musical direction.

“Real Bad” has a dance vibe to it as it is a blend of indie pop and R&B. Prior to the release of this song, bxbykuni was making music in the bright anti-pop genre but, this new song shows bxbykuni’s growth in his sound as he has shifted to the R&B/Pop genre. This song was produced by BabyBoyBlue, a Filipino producer based in New Jersey and Philadelphia.

“Real Bad” is a song about a person (Evan) in a lustful relationship and he is basically in this continuous cycle where the girl keeps pulling him back in due to lust and not because of love. In reality, this girl never actually wanted him.
