CHRIS LAROCCA PERFORMS IN TORONTO FOR “I CRIED MY EYES OUT” SHOW
BY BRENESSA ROACH | NOVEMBER 20, 2023
On November 16th, Woodbridge, Ontario based artist Chris LaRocca performed at the Velvet Underground in Toronto for his “I Cried My Eyes Out” headline show. Chris performed in Brooklyn, New York on November 2nd, followed by a performance in Los Angeles on the 9th. Toronto is the third and final announced stop.
NIA NADURATA started off the night at 8PM accompanied by her band New Friends. Her voice is absolutely amazing and her stage presence is so bubbly and fun. She performed some unreleased songs and unfortunately we didn’t catch the names of any songs. She also performed her most popular song “i think i like your girlfriend” which was such a fun song to hear live. Despite debuting this year, NIA NADURATA has an amazing discography and we definitely think she will be big next year.

The lighting changed and out came Seago to perform some of our favourite songs such as; “Silver Girl” and “Standards”. Seago’s stage presence was so energetic and we really loved that he was dancing around on stage and genuinely just having such an amazing time. He mentioned being nervous on stage, but honestly we couldn’t tell because he was just in his element and also engaging with the crowd. Something we personally enjoyed was when he threw the whole audience off with a cover of “Royals” by Lorde. His cover was so unique and had his own twist that it almost sounded like it was his own song.
Definitely want to see Seago perform again and highly recommend you to see him if you have the chance!

Chris LaRocca came on and the crowd was so pumped up! From his lyrics, to his stage presence to his lighting, the whole set was amazing. He sang a lot of songs from his album i cried my eyes out. When talking about the album, Chris said, “This album is literally my identity. If you’ve listened to this album, you now know who I am and I’m so proud of it. It’s something like if there’s anything you need to fight for in this world, it means so much more and I really had to fight against myself and the world [to make this one].”
Our favourite performance of the night was “i cried my eyes out” – which is also our favourite song on the album. The lighting for this song was s beautiful combined with Chris’ powerful vocals and the whole crowd singing the chorus back to him.
Overall, seeing Chris was amazing because his artistry is just so unique and he’s got so much talent and potential that we cannot wait for what the future holds for him.
Special thanks to Chris LaRocca and his manager Aaron Miller for allowing us to do this press coverage.
