ERIC NAM PERFORMS IN TORONTO FOR "HOUSE ON A HILL" TOUR
BY BRENESSA ROACH | OCTOBER 18, 2023
On October 16th, Korean-American singer and songwriter Eric Nam returned to Toronto to perform at History for his “House On A Hill” Tour. This tour follows the release of his latest album House On A Hill which came out on September 8th.
Fans with VIP tickets started lining up hours before the doors even opened, super excited to see Eric Nam.
The night started off at 8PM with an opening performance by Toronto based Alexander Stewart, accompanied by his keyboardist/guitarist and friend Flynn Tanner. Alexander Stewart performed some of his most popular songs such as; “blame on me”, “I’m trying”, “House of Cards” and “Backwards”. He also performed the song “i wish you cheated” which was one of our favourite performances. As well, he performed this song last week on Jimmy Fallon which was so cool to see this song live! Additionally, Alexander sang a cover of “Stay” by Rihanna, which he said was the first song he ever performed live many years ago. Prior to this show, we hadn’t really listened to Alexander, but now we have saved all his songs because his vocals and lyrics are so beautiful.

ric Nam came on at 8:30 and the build up to his arrival on stage by the band with the lights was so amazing. Eric opened with his song “Sink or Swim” which is the 6th track on his House On A Hill album. Followed by that, he sang “undefined”. We were really excited to see Eric perform some songs on his album There And Back Again which came out in January 2022. From that album, he performed “Any Other Way”, “What If”, “Wildfire” and “I Don’t Know You Anymore”.
One of our favourite performances of the night was for “House On A Hill”. This song is so fun and he even had the crowd singing some parts. Unfortunately, we did miss his encore stage because we actually were working his meet & greet. However, we did at least hear his performances of “Runaway” and “Honestly” – two songs that made us fans of Eric Nam a few years ago.
Also, we want to mention how amazing Eric Nam is on stage. Not only is he an amazing singer, but he was also dancing and in between songs he was giving “TedTalks”. Overall, he is just really sweet and funny and he was also making sure the crowd was hydrated and safe at all times.
If you ever get the chance to see Eric Nam and Alexander Stewart, we highly suggest you do!
