ETHAN LOW HEADLINES IN TORONTO WITH STRINGS FROM PARIS, REGGIE BECTON AND PINO

On February 23rd, 2024, Toronto based R&B artist Ethan Low headlined his first almost sold out show in Toronto at TD Music Hall. This concert was super special as Ethan was joined on stage by Strings From Paris for special renditions of his hit songs. As well, Toronto R&B artist Pino opened for Ethan alongside Reggie Becton who flew out from LA to open. This was our first time going to a concert at TD Music Hall and it was a beautiful venue.

The concert started off at 8:00PM with a 20 minute performance by Toronto based R&B singer Pino. We have been listening to Pino since 2022 when he released the single “what u need” and it was so surreal to finally see him live. This was our first time seeing him live and definitely we want to see him more. His musical style is so unique as each song of his falls under a different style of R&B – some were slower, some were more ‘90s leaning, etc. As well, his voice is amazing and his band who accompanied him made the performance come to life even more.

Reggie Becton came on at8:30 for his set and he was incredible. We absolutely loved his vibe. His stage presence is insane and he was so engaging with the crowd. He was getting the crowd to sing and dance and it was such a fun time. Prior to this show, we had only heard a few songs of Reggie’s, but to say the least, we are now big fans of him. He performed our favourite song “Rm. 143” and it was 10 tens more amazing to see it live and hear his inspirational story before the song telling the audience to “trust your instincts”. We are so thankful that Ethan had Reggie open because we cannot wait to support Reggie for the rest of his career now. He also was such a sweet soul when we met him after the show.

Ethan Low took the stage at 9:20 opening with his song “GEMINI” accompanied by Strings From Paris. This orchestral version was literally so beautiful. Ethan as always was an amazing perfomer and each time we see him, he just gains more and more confidence on stage. Not only is he super talented vocally, but he also is an amazing dancer and just overall very engaging with the crowd and super entertaining. He also had a live band when Strings From Paris weren’t on stage and it was really nice to see a live band as that is different from his normal performances.

He performed two unreleased songs; “Swing My Way” and “CLOSURE” and both of them really had the crowd excited. Our personal favourite of the two is “CLOSURE” and we are very excited for whenever it releases.

Ethan also brought out Koven Wei for a performance of “MIDNIGHT” which was so fun. Ethan went off stage to have an outfit cahnge and Koven performed an unreleased song titled “Lemon & Lime” which was very fun.

This show was also the first time Ethan performed his new song “KISS&TELL” with Gen Neo which came out at midnight on February 23rd. It was amazing to see this song live after all the anticipation. Ethan ended the night with a performance of his most popular song “BUBBLY”.

It’s still very early in 2024, but we can definitely tell you this is and will be one of our favourite concerts this year. In fact, we have post concert depression.

Hopefully we can see Ethan again sometime soon and hopefully he will make his way to different parts of the world to perform more!
