Welcome back to part 3 of the blog series “If You Like Wave To Earth, Listen To These Artists”. In part 1 and part 2, we shared 6 artists in each article and you all really liked that article. We also love discovering new artists that fall under this genre.
Just for a little background information, Wave To Earth is a South Korean indie-pop based band consisting of; Daniel Kim (singer-songwriter), Dong Kyu Shin (drummer) and John Cha (bassist). Their sound is a blend of indie-pop, soft-rock, lofi and jazzy style drumming. They have gained a lot of attention in the past year, especially for their song “seasons” which is very popular on TikTok. (Source: Part 1).

JKC, also known as Jackingcong (잭킹콩) is a Korean-Indie rock band consisting of 5 members; 심강훈 Kang Hoon (main vocalist and trumpet player), 이범호 Bemo (guitarist), 고서원 Seowon (keyboardist), 신유동 Yoodong (bassist) and 장세훈 Sehun (drummer). They made their debut on January 16th, 2019 with the EP Moondance. Following their debut, they released the singles; “Don’t Be Blue” in April and “Weather” in July.
On February 18th, 2020, they released their debut album Dress Code which had 10 tracks and they released their second EP At My Peaceful Garden in August 2021. They started 2022 of with the release of “Hiking” in May followed by “Summer For You” in July. “Summer For You” is our favourite song and their most popular song with a little over 51K streams on Spotify. They also released “Film” in October 2022. All three of these singles were pre-release tracks for their third EP JKC Exhibition : Four Seasons which released on December 11th, 2022.
In 2023, they only released one single “Robot” on May 19th. Their latest release and first release of 2024 is their 9 track album Apophenia which came out on March 16th. JKC currently has around 3K monthly listeners on Spotify.

Hangsung (행성) whose name means “planet” in Korean is an artist from South Korea. He debuted on October 1st, 2021 with the single “Heart Collection Box”. Followed by his debut, he released “Bud” in November 2021 and “Somebody control me” in August 2022.
He released his debut EP Some time s on December 7th, 2022. This EP consisted of 5 songs and features one of his most popular songs “Hurt heart” which has over 387K streams. On June 12th, 2023, he released the single “How about ♥?” followed by “Do I look like a Monster?” on November 8th. His first single and latest release from April 2024 “Nothin’ Without You” currently has over 1 million streams on Spotify. Hangsung currently has around 178K monthly listeners on Spotify.

ben seasons is the new artist project of Toronto based artist BNZA. ben seasons recently debuted on May 15th, 2024 with the single “timeless”. This single has over 8K streams in less than a month and he has gained almost 3K monthly listeners on Spotify. We cannot wait for ben seasons to release more music and we are so happy he is making music in this genre.

12BH is a band from Seoul, South Korea consisting of four members; Jung Sun (vocals/keyboard), Gigajung (vocals/guitar), Greeny (chorus/bass) and Jeongyeol (drums). They debuted on February 6th, 2023 with the single “Green”. This is the song we discovered them by and it’s also their most popular song with almost 390K streams on Spotify. It’s also our favourite song. Following their debut, they released the singles “Windy” in April and “Levi’s Girl” in May.
On August 1st, 2023, 12BH released their debut EP Love my youth which consisted of 5 tracks. They ended the year off with the release of “Day and Night” in November. Their first single and latest release “Eternal Sunset” is from April and it’s another one of our favourite songs.

采子 Cai Zi is a singer-songwriter born and based in Taiwan with around 39K monthly listeners on Spotify. She made her debut on September 24th, 2019 with the single “回頭看看我 (Remember Me)” which was in collaboration with Feng Ze. This is one of her popular songs with over 2.2 million streams on Spotify alone. Following her debut, she released “最後我失去你 (When I Lose You)” and “光害 (Shining Lights)” in December 2019. All three of the songs were included in her debut album *采子喃喃 (Cai Zi’s Thoughts)* which came out on July 27th, 2020. This album also included the song “前任 (EX)” with 黃偉晉 (Wayne Huang) which is her most popular song with over 2.8 million streams on Spotify.
She did not release any music in 2021 or 2022. She returned from her music hiatus on April 8th, 2023 with the single “再也想不起那時候的我 (I Can’t Remember Myself Back Then)”. She then released “帶我回去 (Back to the future)” in June 2023 and “夏夜吻著海風和你 (Sea Breeze Kiss)” in July 2023. “夏夜吻著海風和你 (Sea Breeze Kiss)” was the song we discovered her by on TikTok and we love this song so much. Her latest and only release of 2024 is from May 10th for the single “大可以 (Might As Well)”.

Band Nah (나상현씨밴드) is a Korean band consisting of three members; Na Sung Hyun, Baek Seung Ryeol and Kang Hyun Woong. They currently have around 38K monthly listeners on Spotify. They made their debut on July 7th, 2014 with the single “Late Dawn”. Followed by their debut, they released their debut EP Electric on April 16th, 2015.
In March 2016, they released their second EP *Fire.* They did not release any music in 2017 or 2018. On April 9th, 2019, they came back from their music hiatus to release the single “You” which was a pre-release track for their first album Us which came out on May 22nd, 2019. Post album release, they came out with the single “25” on September 19th, 2019 which is one of our top songs. They ended 2019 with the release of their second album 1½ on December 31st.
In 2020, they released a few singles and then released their third album Zanchi on November 10th, 2020. Band Nah has also created a few OST’s (original television soundtracks) for K-Dramas such as; “Spotlight” for YUMI’s Cells in October 2021 and “Lily of the Valley (Original: DANIEL)” for Melancholia in December 2021. Their OST for Melancholia is their most popular song with a little over 1 million streams on Spotify alone.
They released quite a few singles throughout 2022 and in 2023 is when we started to listen to them more. The first song we heard was “Love Love Love” which came out on February 24th, 2023. Another one of our favourite songs is “Sing!” which came out on May 15th, 2023. Both of these singles were included on their 8 track EP Festival which came out on June 28th.
So far for 2024, Band Nah released an EP CLOVER Part 0.5 on May 4th. We cannot to hear what else they will release in the future.
