“LIKE THE FIRST TIME” WITH JIMMY BROWN & ROVV IN TORONTO

On November 5th, South Korean singers Jimmy Brown and Rovv embarked on their “Like The First Time” first North American tour in Toronto at Revival Event Venue. Toronto was the first show in this 13 city tour. There were also opening performances by Toronto singers BNZA and melatonin boy.

The night started off at 8PM with an opening performance by Toronto based artist BNZA, accompanied by his DJ Aeon. BNZA performed his popular songs “SLIDE” and “SELFISH”. He also performed his latest release “WHOS NEXT” and some unreleased songs.

BNZA was so interactive with the crowd and everyone was enjoying his music, his sweet personality and his stage presence. We saw BNZA perform for the first time at his headline show back in April at the Drake Underground and since then, he has grown a lot and his stage presence is even more energetic than a few months ago. We are so excited to continue to watch BNZA grow and see him perform more!

Followed by BNZA was a performance by Toronto based artist melatonin boy. He also was accompanied by Aeon as the DJ. melatonin boy performed a lot of unreleased music that will be coming out in the near future. He also performed his song “we know it’s not, babe” which is a track on his debut EP could you call me tonight? which came out on May 12th.

We also saw melatonin boy back in April and he is a lot more confident on stage and as always, his stage presence was amazing. The crowd really liked his style of music and they went crazy when he did a performance of “Seven” by Jung Kook of BTS. We are so excited to see melatonin boy perform again in the future and also to listen to the unreleased music he performed.

Aeon did a little DJ set after melatonin boy’s performance and then Jin. K took over and did a DJ set around 20 minutes. Both of them were amazing and had the crowd so amped up for Jimmy Brown and Rovv.

Rovv came out first and he opened with the song “23” followed by “연기처럼 (smokin’)” After a few songs, Jimmy Brown came out to sing his songs “between your thighs”, “kiss my lips” and “steam”. Together, Jimmy Brown and Rovv sang songs off their latest album Like The First Time. As well, they sang songs from their previous albums *The Good Days Boys Playlist 1* and The Good Days Boys Playlist 2.

Some of our favourite performances were for our favourite songs “Drip”, “Over And Over” and “ecstasy”.

The whole concert was amazing and we wish it was longer. Rovv and Jimmy Brown as soloists and together are amazing and have such beautiful vocals. Their show was even more enjoyable thanks to their amazing guitarist ampoff and their DJ Jin.K.
