In this article, I share with you 4 South Korean artists that I love who have under 100K monthly listeners on Spotify. These artists are super talented and I want to put everyone on to their music so, I hope you enjoy their music! Let’s get started…
Current Monthly Listeners: 53K
Sonny Zero is an independent South Korean singer-songwriter. His first debut as an artist was on August 2, 2020 for the song “2 Years” which was a collaboration with South Korean producer Dept. This song is his most streamed song of over 3.7 million streams. His official debut was with the release of his debut EP August Rush on August 31st, 2020. He released a few songs throughout 2021 and in March 2022, he released the song “Bounty” – which is when I started listening to him.
On February 2, 2023, Sonny Zero released an album with hevel and DASU titled Places We Knew. I really love this album snd it’s what got me listening to Sonny even more, as well as it got me into hevel and DASU. Additionally, Sonny Zero just released a song on April 7th with Howl titled “oversaturated”.

Lokid is a singer that debuted in January 2019 with two singles “Moonshine” and “Feel You”. His most popular song of more than 600K streams is titled “Sowhereareyounow?” and is a collaboration with Nathania and O’day O$A. I discovered Lokid this year after the release of his single “Searched your name on instagram” on January 9, 2023. His latest single “Our Film” was released on March 16th.

kenessi is a singer that debuted on November 19, 2019 with his debut EP Sun and Moon. Throughout 2020, kenessi released a lot of singles. I discovered kenessi this year because of his single “a scamp” which came out on March 9th. Followed by the release of this single, he recently dropped his EP I wanna on March 29th. My favourite song on this EP is the song of the same EP title “I wanna”.

curv moon is a 22 year old pop artist from Korea. He started making music at the age of 17 years old and he writes and produces all of his songs. He released his first single “LEGO (Let’s Go)” in August 2022. He released his first EP Cold Theater on December 20th, 2022. I also discovered curv moon this year because of his mini album 2:35 am which released on February 22nd. This album consists of 3 songs; “vaccine”, “purely girl” and “clouds (can you see it?)”. My favourite song is “purely girl”. Additionally, curv moon released a single last week titled “Ruin”.
