Welcome back to the fifth post of our “Behind The Beat Spotlight” series. This month we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on the incredibly talented South Korea based Korean-Canadian producer David Lee, known by his producer alias ditch david.

ditch david is an extraordinary producer and songwriter who has collaborated with esteemed artists, such as CLUB BOYBND, Ethan Low, Jimmy Brown, and oceanfromtheblue.

On May 12th, 2022, ditch david released his debut track “Collagen”, featuring Korean-Canadian artist Sylo.

His contributions extend to the production of KAHOH’s “my type,” released in January 2023, as well as the chart-topping hit, “kiss me thru the phone,” for CLUB BOYBND in February 2023, which has amassed over 11.4 million streams on Spotify alone. Another notable success is “BUBBLY” by Ethan Low, currently boasting over 14 million streams on Spotify.

Additionally, David has worked on CLUB BOYBND’s songs; “like this,” “confessions” and “hmu,” along with Ethan Low’s “SKINTIGHT” featuring Jimmy Brown and “KISS&TELL” featuring Gen Neo. Notably, he produced “25” for oceanfromtheblue’s “A COLORS SHOW” performance. ditch david also collaborated with Jimmy Brown on the track “Arms Around Me” which was released on February 19th, 2024.

David’s latest project involves his work on the debut song “accident” by BORAN, which was released on April 18th, 2024.
