Welcome back to my “Monthly Mixtape” for the month of April. April had a lot of releases so, I will be sharing my top 10 songs released this month.

“ROOF” is an R&B song by the South Korean artists Jimmy Brown, Rovv and Sweet The Kid. I absolutely love this song and I always love when these three collaborate. I am seeing them in concert next month for The Good Days Boys North American tour. If you want to see them live, you can purchase tickets here.

“How did u did that” was one of my absolute favourite songs this month. I had never heard of h3hyeon prior to this song but, I am definitely a fan now. h3hyeon is a South Korean rapper who debuted under Daytona Entertainment in 2021. This song “How did u did that” is a fun, upbeat R&B type of song and I just love the part where he sings the title of the song. Also love the cover art for this song. Definitely want to hear more songs by him in this musical style.

I absolutely love Pink Sweat$ and all of his songs are always amazing. “Moments” is a beautiful, guitar pop style song and it has a very nostalgic feel to it. The lyrics are so beautiful and heartfelt as well. Also love the cover art. I think Pink Sweat$ has such a beautiful voice and vocal range and he has such insane control.

“wait” is a song that I was so excited for the release. “wait” is the second song on tanny ng’s EP glad you came, i’m sorry which you can read a breakdown/review of here. “wait” is such a beautiful and deep song and the piano melody just gets me every time. This is a song that I wish I wrote, it’s seriously so beautiful and healing.

I have featured kuiper a lot on this blog but, it’s because he genuinely is a super talented artist and songwriter. “kerosene” has a different vibe to his previous song “forget” but, I love it just as much. I love how the vocals are mixed in this song to make it sound spacey.

This was hands down my favourite song of the month. “Find You” is the last song on New Friends EP Camaro and was my personal favourite. This song has such a nostalgic vibe to it and just reminds me of the soundtracks of movies I loved watching growing up. I feel like this song will forever be my favourite because I can’t get tired of it.

This year I became a fan of Jayci yucca because his style is so unique! This song “Stupid Love” which is a collaboration with JUTO is so good. It’s an upbeat Korean R&B infused with pop style song and I think the lyrics are really good as well. The chorus part is so catchy too.

wave to earth is a three member band from South Korea that I absolutely love! “sunny days” is a song on their new album 0.1 flaws and all. This album truly was filled with amazing song but, this song in particular was my favourite. I love the vibes and overall summer feel to it.

“Snooze” is hands down my favourite song on Agust D’s (SUGA of BTS) first solo album D-DAY. This song I was so excited about because WOOSUNG is from The Rose which is literally in my top 3 favourite bands/groups ever so this collaboration came as a surprise to me since I didn’t even know Agust D and WOOSUNG were friends. Nonetheless, this collaboration was amazing and I love the mix of WOOSUNG’s vocals with Agust D’s rapping style. I also love that this song was in collaboration with Ryuichi Sakamoto who was such an iconic Japanese composer.

jfarr is an artist I discovered this month because of this song “That’s My Bad”. I love how this song is a mix of R&B and pop. It’s a very upbeat song and I like the vocal style of jfarr as well as the lyricism. Definitely will be supporting jfarr after this song because his discography is really good.
