At midnight, Filipino-American, Los Angeles based artist and producer Russell Dimaano, also known as Russell Groovy released his new single “Run It”. This song is a pre-release track for his next EP Goodnight Groovy which will be releasing sometime next year.

When asked about the meaning of the song “Run It”, Groovy says, “this song is a smooth introduction for the fall/winter vibe with a classic R&B twist. The term “run it” is defined as being able to move forward and willingly to new opportunities when it comes to love and life.”

This song is perfect for late night drives, intimate moments during the colder seasons and a song that will bring you into your feels.

“Run It” is reminiscent to the artistic styles of Chris Brown, H.E.R and Jacquees with Russell bringing his own flavour of night time R&B. He says, “producing and writing this song happened pretty organically. The theme was already set and all that was needed was the production part. Typically I want to provide a very nostalgic feel when creating music. 90’s to Early 2000s R&Bb/Hip-Hop is usually the main criteria of influence when I create music. While we head towards the colder season I wanted to keep the production on the chiller end, using more pads, warmer synths, and a subbier bass. I was really aiming to create a smooth, sexy and wavy song that would gravitate the lovers of the world.”
