Today at midnight EST, Seattle based Indie Pop/R&B singer slone debuted with the single “wish u were gone”. slone used to make music under the artist name $hakey, but now he is back with a new artist name and sound.

slone hopes to push his music and reach the Asian community, especially the community in Seattle.

“wish u were gone” tells the story of someone who is in a toxic relationship and is showing hatred towards “her”, but not being able to commit to actually leaving her.

The beat for the single was produced by a Japanese producer Clozzbeat who slone found through YouTube. Since he found it, he has been working with him. Additionally, slone’s friend mixed and mastered the song.

We really love the vibe of this song and think slone has so much potential in the Indie-Pop/Asian R&B scene.
