Welcome to another article in our “Up & Coming Asian Artists | 100K AND BELOW” series. If you have not read the first or second article, definitely do because some of those artists have definitely grown more than 100K listeners now and it’s always so exciting to see their growth overtime.
In this article, we will share 6 more Asian artists that vary in genres and sounds! We hope you find yourself supporting some or all of these artists.

CHANKA is a Hong Kong based singer and songwriter who blends the genres of folk, progressive rock and electronic music. Her sound is really unique because she has such a beautiful voice that blends so well with her dark, indie-rock/folk sound. She made her debut to digital streaming platforms on April 11th, 2019 with the single “Silence”. On January 18th, 2020, she released her debut album Shades of Blue.
She posted quite a few singles throughout 2021. In May 2022, she released the single “Hypocrite” which is one of her most popular songs with over 189K streams on Spotify. On June 5th, 2022, she collaborated with Anna hisbbuR for the song “Someday My Prince Will Come” which is the 10th track on Anna’s album Now You See Me. This song is CHANKA’s most popular song with over 386K streams on Spotify. Followed by the release of that song, in August, she released the song “. . –” which has over 180K streams on Spotify.
Her first single of 2023 was released in February and it was a collaboration with hirsk for the song “gömböc”.
On September 9th, CHANKA performed at Music Matters Live festival in Singapore. Her latest release “Time Machine” dropped on September 15th and is in collaboration with DatBaddie.

SFC.JGR (Sergeant First Class Jaguar) is a Korean singer-songwriter signed to the label 8BallTown. He actually was a Sergeant First Class in the military. His music is primarily R&B. He made his debut on August 11th, 2014 with the double single EP titled 안될것같은 which included the songs “안될것같은” and “더럽혀줄게”. He released a few singles after that and then on May 13th, 2019, he released his debut EP Bronze.
His most popular song is titled “8:08” and it was released on April 22nd, 2020. This is our absolute favourite song from his discography. This song currently has over 976K streams on Spotify. He ended the 2020 year off with his second EP CATWALK.
On April 14, 2021, he released the single “AMEN” – which is his second most popular song with over 840K streams on Spotify. In 2022, he didn’t release any music.
On February 26th, he released his first single of 2023 titled “Taser”. His latest release “moneynbooty” is from July 4th and this is another one of our favourite songs.

Jake $ing is an R&B/Alternative-pop Asian-American singer, songwriter and musician born in Shanghai, China. He made his debut to digital streaming platforms on April 25th, 2018 with the triple-single EP Too Young which includes the songs “Too Young”, “N.N.F.” and “Chocolate”. He continued to release music throughout the 2019. On June 23rd, 2020 he released the single “Imnotsad.” which almost has 10K streams on Spotify.
At the end of 2020, Jake signed a record deal with Sony Music and released the single “TURN IT UP” in January 2021 with his new record deal. On December 9th, 2021, he released his debut EP Ups & Downs.
Jake’s most popular song is titled “Blue” and it was released in October 2022. The song currently has a little over 20.4K streams on Spotify. His latest release “I’M STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU” is from Friday, September 22nd and that is definitely our new favourite song.

chelse is a Filipino-American artist born and raised in Manila, Philippines and currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is an independent artist working under GMC Music Studios Group. Her music is in the R&B genre and she grabs inspiration from 90s/00s R&B/Soul and ballad singers such as; Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, Usher and more.
She made her debut on July 9th, 2021 with the single “Caught Up”. On October 28th, 2022, she released her second single “addicted2u”. Her latest single from September 8th is also her first single of 2023 and it’s titled “Over”.

Jun is a Korean born and Vancouver based singer-songwriter. His genre is a blend of R&B with some elements of Alternative and Pop. We discovered him on TikTok right before his debut song “Nobody” which came out on May 5th of this year. This is also his most streamed song with over 4.2K Spotify streams.
Following his debut single, he released the single “Bittersweet (Southdakota)” on September 1st. His latest release from September 8th is a sped up version of “Bittersweet (Southdakota)”.

cjvd is a Filipino-Canadian R&B/Pop singer and songwriter. He released his debut single “Never Satisfied” on September 1st, 2019. This song was in collaboration with his friend Gordon. This is his second most popular song with 3.6K streams on Spotify. In April 2020, he released the single “Nobody Else”.
On June 10th, 2022, he released the single “Heat Of The Moment” which is his most popular song with over 20.7K streams on Spotify. His latest release and first single of the year is titled “Confidence” and it came out on July 14th.
