“Sound Scope” is a series dedicated to exploring the rising stars shaping the global music landscape. In this installment, we’re focusing on a music collective that is on the rise with their unique sound.

Having a strong music community and fanbase is so important for success and when you find a group of people in your own area that all share the same values and artistic ideas, it’s incredible to collaborate and grow together. Similar to Behind The Beat, where we work with numerous artists to help them grow and highlight their talent, it’s equally amazing for artists to collaborate and create something bigger. This is precisely what the independent pop/alternative pop Seattle-based collective WEST OF EDEN is doing.

Consisting of members jun.e, riensu, yoku, keanu., and slone, the collective spans various sounds and genres to create music that is relatable, unique, and catchy. The collective made their debut on December 15th, 2023, with the single “butterfly” and followed up with “WON’T LET YOU GO” on January 19th, 2024. Since their debut, “butterfly” has become their most popular song with almost 70K streams, and they have amassed over 12.5K listeners on Spotify.

Hailing from Seattle, where indie-rock typically dominates the music scene, WEST OF EDEN found each other and created music in the indie-alternative/pop genre, aiming to popularize it in Seattle. Originally starting as “ways of expression” with a different roster, they eventually condensed their members and rebranded to WEST OF EDEN, keeping the WOE acronym, but with a new meaning. The name is a biblical reference, inspired by the members being based in Seattle, located in the western US, and Eden representing a beautiful garden of paradise.

In 2024, WEST OF EDEN has been releasing a song each month. Their latest release, “fireworks,” dropped on July 4th and has gained over 3K streams in just two weeks. We have been following WEST OF EDEN since their debut and are eagerly anticipating their growth and success.
