Welcome to the third part in our “GTA Artists | 100K AND BELOW” series. If you haven’t read the first and second part, make sure you do! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the GTA, it basically is the Greater Toronto Area (so Toronto and its surrounding cities). There are so many amazing artists I know and have discovered just by living here and having this blog as well. So, in this blog, we will be sharing 6 artists with you all varying in different genres and sounds.

Jasmine Kiara is an R&B/Soul singer and songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. She debuted on April 13th, 2019 with the single “Turn You Good” which was a pre-release track for her debut EP Just Friends which came out on June 13th, 2019. On January 25th, 2020, she released the single “Like That” which is her most popular song with around 77K streams on Spotify.
Her next single “Good Look” was released in August 2021 followed by “Prove It” in October. During 2022, she did not release any music and came back on July 24th, 2023 with the single “Back Seat”.
Her latest single “Home” is from February 12th, 2024. This is the song that made us discover her. It is also featured in Spotify’s playlist “Mood Ring”.

Dingani is a Pop-R&B Zambian-born artist living in Toronto. Through their music they explore themes of self-discovery as a Black Queer.
Dingani debuted on August 18th, 2023 with the single “Trouble” followed by “Motel” on September 22nd, 2023. On January 12th, 2024, Dingani released “BRB” which is our absolute favourite song so far. This is also the song that made us discover Dingani thanks to Kennen for sharing it on his Instagram.
All three of these singles were pre-release tracks for Dingani’s debut EP Motel which came out on March 21st, 2024. We had the opportunity to do a press coverage for the EP which you can read here.
We are so excited to hear what else Dingani will release in the future. As well, we are so ready to see their growth.

NIA NADURATA is an artist from Toronto that blends indie, Soul, Pop and R&B into her music. She is currently signed to the independent Toronto label Arts & Crafts. NIA released her first single “drive faster” on April 19th, 2023. This was the first song we heard of hers back in July 2023 when we discovered her music through Seago. Followed by her debut, she released “i think i like your girlfriend” on August 3rd, 2023 which is her most popular song with over 966K streams on Spotify. Her last single of 2023 was “carSick” in October which was in collaboration with Seago. Behind The Beat had the opportunity to see NIA NADURATA perform live in November at Chris LaRocca’s show. NIA NADURATA released her first single of the 2024 on March 21st and it’s titled “could’ve been”.

The Vaniers (pronounced as van-ee-ays) are an indie-Alternative/Rock trio from Toronto. The band form in 2016 and consists of former high school classmates Diego Pazz (Bassist/Vocalist), Alex Iacobellis (Guitarist) and Nick Donato (Drummer). They released their first single “(Livin’ in The) Lightshow” on May 24th, 2019. Followed by their debut, they released the songs; “Sour Love” and “Runner” on June 14th. In September, they released “Wild” and ended 2019 off with “On the Regular” in December.
On March 19th, 2020, they released their debut EP Who Are You to Say?. Their next release was on July 9th, 2021 for the single “No Promises” and “Milk & Honey” on July 23rd. “Milk & Honey” is their most popular single with over 33K streams on Spotify. They released a few more singles in 2021 and released their first album All Together Now! on June 3rd, 2022. We got to hear this album live in July 2022 when The Vaniers opened for The High Loves in Toronto.
The Vaniers released one single in October 2023 titled “Faces”. Their latest release “Charlie” is from March 22nd, 2024.

Tae Hauk is an alternative Hip-Hop, Hyper-Pop and Bedroom Pop artist originally from British Columbia and currently based in Toronto, Canada. He debuted on October 15th, 2021 with the single “why don’t you come over?”. This was a pre-release track for his debut EP Songs About Summer which came out on June 10th, 2022.
On February 23rd, 2023, he collaborated with James Hill and Ruben Amir for the single “A Fraud’s Prayer”. On March 17th, 2023, he released the single “Never Enough” followed by “Give N Take” on March 24th. On September 15th, 2023, Tae Hauk released the single “THE PROBLEM” which is his most popular song with over 169K streams on Spotify alone. His latest single “BREAK UP SONG” is from February 14th, 2024.

Victoria Staff is an Indie-Pop singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. She released her first single “Records & Honesty” on January 18th, 2023. She then released “Olive and Ruby” on April 19th and “Campfire” on May 31st, 2023. All three of these singles were featured on her debut EP Records & Honesty which came out on July 19th, 2023. Her most popular song with 6K streams is “Here We Go Again” which was on the EP.
On February 23rd, 2024, she released the single “From My Side of The Table” which is her latest release.
